I recently tried connecting to my SSH server using my trustworth Bitvise SSH client. However, instead of a successful login, I received an error. I was running Bitvise version 7.31 on my Windows 10 machine running April update. Following is the error log. I solved it and I thought it's good to share it here just if somebody is in the same boat as me.

      22:21:42.626 Server version: SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_7.2p2 Ubuntu-4ubuntu2.4
22:21:42.626 First key exchange started. Cryptographic provider: Windows CNG (x86) with additions
      22:21:43.216 Received host key from the server. Algorithm: ECDSA/nistp256, size: 256 bits, MD5 fingerprint: 5b:6c:9c:da:e3:4b:97:32:be:cc:4a:71:95:cb:c1:6f, Bubble-Babble: xikah-bylob-novon-himev-darer-catoz-pubid-suhok-cyhah-zetug-gixox, SHA-256 fingerprint: n1s1f2xDrwi5tVA647DhcZEwtXvaIt/AZBjdfnvwknY.
22:21:43.515 The SSH2 session has terminated with error. Reason: Error in component session/transport/kexHandler. Error class: Flow, code: ComponentException, message: Exception in component: Windows CNG (x86) with additions: AsymKey: CngAgree: unexpected secretData->cbStruct.

Solution to the error - The solution is pretty simple. I solved it for myself by upgrading to the latest Bitvise version which is 7.41. My profiles and settings remained intact, so, it is a matter of downloading the new version and installing it on top of the existing installation.

You can download the latest version of Bitvise from their website.
